Peace, quiet, serenity, calm; these are the things that the students of Oxford were used to. Spending time in the library, then leaving to the local inn for a relaxing drink and something to munch on to sate their famished stomachs. It was simple, luxurious and peaceful. And in one fell swoop, the peace was shattered. Screams of desperate and terrified innocents flooded the streets, as violent howls and roars echoed across mountains and valleys. The students, equally horrified and curious flooded out onto the streets to uncover the mystery of what was happening. This was the mindset of these students, even in times of danger, inquisitiveness
“Are these suits really necessary?” Felix groaned as one of the riflemen- or in her case, riflewoman- was fixing his cufflinks to be airtight.
He hated these suits, they always felt like a full body garbage bag and they made him sweat like a pig.
“Have you ever seen what happens to a person when they get secondhand exposure?” she asked, annoyed
“No.”
“I have, lemme tell you, it’s just as bad as firsthand exposure.”
The cufflinks gave a clack as she properly twisted them into a locked position, making Felix wince as she twisted his wrist so hard, he felt it might have snapped
“But w
